LIINASSA 5500 vuotta

Tervetuloa ensimmäiseen omaan näyttelyyni! Taidenäyttely järjestetään 4.7.-10.7.2025 Galleria Art Fridassa, osoitteessa Korkeavuorenkatu 25.

Hevonen on ollut kesytettynä jo 5500 vuotta. Ajan myötä hevosten ympärille on rakentunut kiehtova kulttuuri, joka on innoittanut tätä näyttelyä. Esillä ja myynnissä on kaikenlaisia ja kaikenkokoisia teoksia. Paikan päällä voi osallistua ilmaiseen teosarvontaan. Tervetuloa!

The artist

My works depict items semi-realistically but either the setting or the colours are somehow odd. My objective is to show the absurdity of our surroundings, yet I want the viewer to believe that the scene does truly exist. Whether I paint weirdly coloured eggs or the seeds of a canna lily, I want the viewer to think ‘I see it but I don’t quite understand it.’

Through colour and humour I paint the way the outside world makes me feel. From large to tiny canvases my medium is acrylic painting. I fell in love with how easy acrylic paint is to layer and build upon. In my studies as a landscape architect I have to focus on the bigger picture. As an artist I love to concentrate on the minute and extraordinary moments that emerge from the day-to-day.
